GET TO KNOW
THE NEW SOUND
OF CLEAN DISTORTION

GizmoAudio

"The Gizmo Audio Sawmill is a distortion device with an external Bias control that lets you shape the clipping from an overdrive like openness to a more sawtooth distortion. You can switch between the two extremes with the help of the OD footswitch.

The pedal adds just the right amount of crunch while maintaining the guitar's tonal integrity. It is also very touch sensitive which is great for those who wish to play with dynamics and keep it clean at a light touch and dirty when you dig in.

The Sawmill's creator, Charles Luke, has done a fantastic job with this pedal and it's easy to see why it's been lauded in magazines of note. Perhaps this video will help spread the word and draw the interest of a few more discerning stomp lovers. I think it deserves it.

Great stuff."

Brett's video shows the Sawmill with maximum distortion settings. To hear the pedal with "soft" breakup settings, listen to Jimmy Wooten's recordings under "sound samples" on this website.

"Thanks Charlie for sending us one and letting me hang on to it! I actually used it today for some tracking in the studio as a matter of fact, and as you'll probably see in the video, I was rather taken back by the sawmill. My honest opinion of the pedal was that it delivered an obscene amount of note definition and clarity for how driven I felt it was. It really impressed me. And for what I do typically as a player/my taste, I'd put it in the realm of my Tim and probably one of my top three or four drives I'd grab for in the studio right now. The client who was tracking guitars with me today seemed really happy with it as well. If I had to give a top five drive pedals I'm diggin' at the moment I'd go with (no particular order/ depending on the amp, guitar and type of track) : Tim, Klon, Basic Audio Futureman, Sawmill and a KOT. Id say that the sawmill is closest to the Tim and the Futureman. Warm, transparent and full bodied."
